An oval-cut stone set close to the ear, big enough to be seen and small enough to sleep in. It sits beautifully on a second or third lobe, and it's just as good on its own when you want one clean piece and nothing else.

The stone is 5A cubic zirconia, the top grade, cut and polished to throw light the way a real stone does instead of glinting flat. At 8mm × 6mm it reads as a carat and a quarter — present, not showy.
