The imitation pearls are 2.7mm — small enough to sit almost flat against the finger rather than rising up like a cluster. Either side of them, cubic zirconia runs down the shoulders, so the ring catches light along its length while the centre stays soft.

That contrast is the point. A pearl finish does not sparkle, it glows, and setting it beside stones that do makes both read more clearly than either would on its own. On a 1.5mm band it stays quiet enough for every day.

The gold is a PVD coating, not a plating — the colour is bonded to the stainless steel under vacuum rather than sitting on top of it, so it does not wear thin at the edges or fade with time. It will not tarnish and will not turn your finger green.

Care: the metal is waterproof but the pearls are not — take this one off before the shower, the pool and the ocean. Put it on last, after hand cream, and wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
